In the third phase of Lok Sabha elections, 40% of voters cast their ballots across 93 constituencies in 11 states and a Union Territory. Despite this, there were reports of violence in West Bengal and some areas of Uttar Pradesh saw poll boycotts. Maharashtra had the lowest turnout at 31.55%, while West Bengal saw the highest with nearly 50%. The BJP clinched victory in Surat, Gujarat, uncontested. Notably, key candidates like Amit Shah, Digvijaya Singh, and Dimple Yadav contested in this phase across different constituencies.
